Make it correct.Make it move.

The working brand system for King of Men. One public identity for music, events, artist routes and rooms designed to be felt. Read this page first, then take what you need.

01.1Idea

One bridge.Four gates.

King of Men works in both directions: African artists enter European rooms, and European venues and audiences meet artists, music and communities with care and context. The identity is not a logo on top of that work. It is the shape of the work itself: a cut that opens, a crossing that connects, a circle that gathers, a name that speaks.

Gate 01

Artist

Music, presence, releases and a live signal.

Gate 02

Events

One-contract organisation for the full night.

Shared centre

The room as product.

Artist, stage, audience, atmosphere. The centre is not a throne; it is the space King of Men builds for people to enter.

Gate 03

Artist routes

Practical booking routes into European rooms.

Gate 04

Event design

Spatial identity from the entrance to the last light.

Gate names are working names. Q107 in the vault register asks whether “Artist routes” and “Event design” become public names. Until then they appear only in partner-facing material.

01.2Golden circle

Start with why.keep the centre open.

The brand is drawn as three rings because that is how it was built: a reason in the middle, a way of working around it, and the things you can buy on the outside. Hover or tap a ring. The centre is never filled — that is the Open Circle.

why

A room where everybody is meant to be.

“I stand for truth. I’m out for boys, for men, for women, for everybody.” The name King of Men was given, not chosen — an award from people who saw someone holding the room for all of them. The brand exists to build that room, in Munich and in Benin City, for artists and for the people who come to listen.

Metamodern by intention. The system swings between sincerity and irony on purpose: a name that sounds like a crown, worn by someone who refuses one. Brutalist structure holds the sincerity; the serif interruption and the objects below carry the wink. Neither wins.

01.3 — Philosophy

Classic means well made. Not old.

The name King of Men was conferred by a community, not chosen by the artist. People saw someone who stands for everyone in the room and gave him the name as an award. Klassikol is not classical music; it means dealing in classic things — well cut, well finished, held to a level. The system carries both ideas: it is direct enough to be given, and finished enough to be trusted.

Direct before decorative.

If a mark, a word or a colour does not do a job, it leaves. Momentum and clarity replace ornament.

The room is the product.

Artist, stage, audience and atmosphere are designed as one encounter, never as separate departments.

People make the signal.

Heritage appears through practice, collaborators, language and commissioned imagery — not through a library of motifs.

Truth over fluency.

No invented tours, clients, capacity or catalogue. Every public claim is confirmed or it is labelled a sample.

Context before aesthetic.

01.4Insight

Nothing here
is decoration.

Every mark, angle, colour and typeface in this system carries a story. Read a card, then hover it: the element performs the story.

Forward K · Cut

A letter that already left.

The K leans 14° forward because the person it stands for does not wait for permission. The red slash is a third stroke: the moment a familiar sound is cut open and becomes something new. On one-ink jobs the slash can go — the lean stays.

Crossing Gates · Cross

Four doors, one room.

Artist, organiser, promoter, designer: four roles turned ninety degrees around a centre nobody owns. It is an invented contemporary monogram, not a traditional Edo symbol, and it claims no throne. The centre is the stage people walk into.

Open Circle · Gather

A circle that never closes.

People gave him the name; the circle is theirs. It stays open so the next person can enter and answer. The dot in the centre is the pulse — the moment the room agrees on a beat.

Living Wordmark · Speak

Say it plainly.

Eleven names across platforms became one front door. The block letters make the name searchable; the serif “of” is the human voice in it — small, lowercase, the only soft thing in a hard word.

14° · The one angle

The lean of a body mid-step.

Fourteen degrees is roughly how far a body leans when it commits to a step. Every wipe, wedge, cut and motion path uses it, so the whole system moves in one direction — forward, never upright, never falling.

AaҐґ Її Єє
Fixel · Typeface

A voice made in Kyiv.

Fixel was drawn in Ukraine by MacPaw with AlphaBravo and released free under an open licence, as a tribute to a culture that has endured centuries of constant threat. A brand about a room for everybody is set in a typeface built so that a language could not be silenced. That is not decoration either.

Seven colours

The room at three in the morning.

Night is the room before the lights. Bone is the wall and the paper. Signal Red is the voice cutting in. Ultra Violet is stage air after midnight. Pulse Lime is a wristband under UV — the word now. Electric Blue is the sign that says which way. Skin Bronze is skin, wood and brass: the materials, never a UI colour.

Backstage · Where it begins and ends

Work before spectacle.

The show starts at load-in and ends at load-out, not at the first and last song. Backstage is part of the identity: flight cases, gaffer tape, call sheets and the lamp on the mic stand at 17:00 in an empty room. See the backstage system →

01.5Grammar

Cut. Cross.
Gather. Speak.

The system behaves like sound: a sharp interruption, a meeting point, a collective pulse, then a direct address. Every mark, layout, image and animation is one of these four behaviours. If it is none of them, it is not King of Men.

01 · Cut
Cut

A 14° interruption. Hard crop, abrupt scale shift, one decisive intervention that changes a familiar signal.

02 · Cross
Cross

Axes, routes and layered information meet without flattening into a grid. Four roles turn around one open centre.

03 · Gather
Gather

Open circles, shared bodies and room-wide pattern create participation without enclosure. The circle stays open.

04 · Speak
KINGofMEN
Speak

Oversized direct words. A serif italic interruption where the human voice enters. The name is never hidden.

Five-beat rhythm

Short / long / accent / rise / response

The 14° cut

One angle across marks, crops, type and motion

01.6Installation

The room as
a gallery.

Contemporary art enters the system through objects, not ornament: ordinary things from a night out, relabelled with one honest word. They are rendered here as constructions, not photographs, so they can be built for real — as merchandise, as set dressing, as the still-life photography brief. Hover each one.

01.7Scope

Where the system lives.

One identity across artist work, event production, artist routes and spatial design. Each surface uses the same four components and the same grammar; only the dominant behaviour changes.

Releases & playersCover tiles, streaming profiles, EPK. Dominant: Cut.
EventsAnnouncement, poster, ticket, wristband, credential, schedule, stage screen. Dominant: Gather + Speak.
Rooms & wayfindingEntrance, routes, signs, safety. Dominant: Cross.

01.10Names

Public name.
Legal footing.

King of Men is the public umbrella. It carries the cultural work, artist billing and service offers. Klassikolmusik Entertainment appears beneath it only where legal, invoicing, contract or production accountability requires it.

King of MenPublic artist and cultural brand: artist, events, artist routes, event design. Lead every public composition with it.
↔
Klassikolmusik EntertainmentLegal entity beneath the public brand. Proposals, invoices, contracts, formal production documents — in the lower information layer.

Application rule: lead with King of Men. Add “Klassikolmusik Entertainment” as the legal entity only in the footer or information layer. Do not present the two as competing public brands. The umbrella decision itself is Q86 in the register and still needs the client’s recorded answer.
